If you have a homepage generated from your own HTML you can activate a Commercial homepage space by filling out the appropriate form in our
web hosting section.
FTP your homepage directly to the site and make your own changes and updates. This requires certain skills that can be acquired through the net. The activation of the site is not automatic upon becoming a member and requires a call for activation.
A basic knowledge of HTML editing and FTP file transfer are required to build your own homepage. Excellent information can be found at Yahoo and w3schools.com to assist you in developing your own personal homepage.
Client Services cannot assist in developing or transferring your files to the server.
To Install and maintain your home page please follow these steps.
1. Obtain an FTP program, which one is your choice. We suggest WS_FTP. If you like you can get a copy from our FTP site "ftp.nt.net". Download the version you need from the Windows directory win95 or win31 or Macintosh.
The configuration for WS_FTP is as follows:
Profile Name: HOMEPAGE
Host Name: aurora.nt.net
Host Type: Automatic detect
UserID: username <- Your Login Name or User Name
Password: ******* <- Your password
Account:
Anonymous Login <- Do NOT check
x Save Password
x Auto Save Config

3. Download your content through FTP to nt.net. You will arrive at a directory equivalent to your username.
4. The first file that you want to open in your homepage must be named index.html to work correctly.
